The Garendon Park Estate
Garendon Park owned by the de Lisle family is a Grade II historic park as defined by English Heritage. It is one of the Boroughs finest ancient parks and houses some stunning monuments:
- An 80 foot Obelisk which was built around 1735,
- The Triumphal Arch
- The stunning Temple of Venus.
This park is part of the Loughborough Half route by kind permission of Squire de Lisle.
Charnwood Borough Council
The symbol of Charnwood Borough Council is the fox, historically linked with Leicestershire and houses one of the finest Universities in the country. Charnwood is the largest borough by population and has the largest school population.
